G.I. Joe Costume Club
Founded in 2007, the Finest is the premier G.I. Joe costuming group in the world, with hundreds of members across five continents. The Finest are non-profit, and their members exhibit or attend more than 100 conventions each year (worldwide), where they raise money for military charities.
The mission of the Finest is to provide a positive community for costume enthusiasts to build and wear highly-detailed costumes and props from the G.I. Joe universe. Finest members actively promote interest in the G.I. Joe brand and use appearances at conventions and other events as a means to support community projects and charity efforts that benefit military and veteran organizations.
Since 2014, convention appearances by The Finest have allowed them to raise more than $50,000 for organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project, the USO, and most recently K9s for Warriors. K9s is an amazing group who rescues shelter dogs, trains them to be service animals, and then pairs them with veterans who need them. It's our great pleasure to raise money on their behalf across Michigan and other states in the area, at shows like the Great Lakes Comic-Con, helping to spread awareness about service animals and veteran's issues.
